I knew I had put salt in the pie when the judge reached for her water. Your grandmother, standing beside me, reached for a second fork.
I was nineteen and had entered the county baking contest because Ruth had said she liked a man who could cook. This was unfortunate, since my entire repertoire consisted of toast. My aunt lent me her recipe and two unmarked jars.

The judge was kind. Ruth was not. She laughed so hard that people three tables away turned around. I wanted to disappear into the livestock barn. Then she tasted the pie herself, declared it “a memorable achievement,” and stayed to help me wash the dish.
We walked home with an empty plate. I admitted why I had entered. She told me I could have simply asked her for a walk. At the corner I did, although we had just walked nearly a mile. She said yes anyway.
We have disagreed about money, moved three times, raised two stubborn children, and learned which arguments can wait until after supper. We still make that pie every August. I label the jars now. She checks them anyway.
In the photograph on our table, I am holding a ribbon for participation. Do not let your grandmother tell you I won anything that day. What happened was better, and considerably more embarrassing.

Does the AI film price include writing?
Whether story writing is included will be confirmed before payment. The complete project scope and total price will be confirmed before you pay.
How much would I earn from revenue sharing?
There is no fixed share or promised income at this stage. If you choose to discuss publishing after delivery, a separate proposal will explain the approved content and publishing channels, your percentage, the revenue included and any deductions, earnings reports and payment terms. You can decide then.
Can I book or pay now?
